I am trying to export layouts to model space as i did with 2010 and 12 but in 2013 it is not working as expected. I have blocks with 3d info on layers that are frozen in the view port. In previous release this info is ignored. Now it is turned on in the exported dwg. Is there a way to get this. At the Command prompt, enter layout. At the prompt, enter sa to save the current layout as a template. Enter the name of the layout you are saving. In the Create Drawing File dialog box, enter a name for the drawing template file you are creating. In Files of Type, select Drawing Template File (.dwt). The AutoCAD/LT 2008 Export Layout to Model Space preview tool provided the capability to take a snapshot of a drawing layout to create a ready-to-use model space drawing. With the capability to export layout objects to model space, customers who have limited their use of layouts in order to exchange drawings with other CAD systems will be able.

EXPORTLAYOUT command description:
Exports all visible objects from the current layout to the model space of the new drawing

You can run the EXPORTLAYOUT command in any localized version of AutoCAD by typing _EXPORTLAYOUT in the commandline.

Missing AutoCAD command? New or wrong translation of a command? Please contact us for a fix.
Does anybody know of a way to export or save a layout tab as a drawing file? We are required to do this for a number of our clients and when you have a drawing with 20-30 layout tabs it gets time consuming to do a saveas on each tab and then open up each drawing and then delete the unnecessary tabs and layers and then purge and re-save the file.
I want the new drawing to be what is in Paperspace and only what is on inside the Viewport for Model Space. I don’t want any of the information from any of the other viewports. Does this make sense?
