Hey guys, my first post so thanks for any help in advance.
So Net Nanny was working fine and all but for some reason (most likely the kids) several files went missing. Net Nanny blocked access to the internet as a result of the missing files complaining about a problem with the Content Watch setup. So, I tried to reinstall the program. Unfortunately, the installation requires internet access which was being blocked by Net Nanny at the time because of the missing files -.- I couldn't uninstall the program, because for whatever reason, the uninstaller simply wouldn't work. When I opened it from Add/Remove programs and opened manually, the uninstaller would just sit there frozen until I killed the program.
So I attempted a 'hard delete' (thats what I think its called). I deleted the files from the C drive and combed the registry for anything related for Content Watch or Net Nanny (not sure if I got everthing). After all that however, when I restart the computer, boot up, and log in, the error still pops up that there is a problem with the Content Watch setup, reinstall, call customer service etc. It pops up every time a program tries to access the internet.
I'm not exactly sure what I should do now. I deleted all the files from the content watch folder in program files and I'm pretty sure I got everything in the registry. Help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, the only solution I see is reinstalling windows which might not be a good idea since that was done several times before do to various reasons and could result in hard drive failure if continued. Help?
