In the iMovie app, you can choose to add three types of audio to your project: Soundtracks; My Music—any audio files you have on your iPhone, such as songs and sound recordings; Sound Effects; To add music to your iPhone video project in the iMovie app, you need to tap the plus icon on the left side of your timeline and then tap the Audio option.
